Mom, Make me a Witch

A piece of paper shares ideas like a walking tree. A pair of scissors takes its first steps. A knife defines the lines of a strange witch who drives away the darkness. And all together they tell us a story. Just one? Many! The occasion was a paper toy, made from an old newspaper. A witch, who travels on her broomstick, in space and time. A year with faded childhood memories. And the space, a small memory from a messy childhood room, of toys, pencils, crumpled papers, cut and painted papers, ready to become houses, ships, figures. All kept in the house of memories A small cone will be the body. A paper ball is her head. And her dress? Colorful little papers, in order and disorder, giving movement in the stillness.
